Liquid crystal polyurethane

Liquid crystal polyurethane is a polyurethane elastomer with liquid crystal properties in the melt state by joining rigid mesogenes and flexible spacer groups. The liquid crystal polyurethane elastomer is processed by one-step or two-step polymerization. The process is diverse and can be extruded, injection molded, and coated. The products can be divided into main chain and side chain liquid crystal polyurethane, the main chain liquid crystal polyurethane refers to the liquid crystal segment in the main chain, and the side chain type contains liquid crystal segment in the side chain. The material has good mechanical properties, thermal stability, high elasticity, high elongation and good processing properties, so it has a very broad application prospect.
