Dimethyl Thio-Toluene Diamine - DMTDA(Ethancure 300 )

DMTDA is an eco-friendly low-toxicity liquid aromatic diamine chain extender, equivalent to Ethancure300, including 2 kinds of isomers, that is, the mixture of 2,4- and 2,6 -DMTDA (proportion: 77~80/17~20). It reacts with NCO slower than DETDA and can be applied to cast polyurethane elastomers, and can also be used with DETDA to adapt to different application scenarios.

Advantages VS other curing agent

Compared with commonly-used MOCA, it is a kind of relatively low-viscosity liquid, applied to the construction operation under the low temperature, with the advantage of low chemical equivalent;

Lower equivalent curing agent consumption. DMTDA is 107 ,while MOCA is 133.5 ; 

Activity higer than MOCA ,in low NOC content polymer ,DMTDA need shorter time than MOCA;

Activity lower than TDA and DETDA, and reaction speed with polymer is 5-9 times longer than TDA and DETDA;

The properties and alkaline resistance of the synthesized polyurethane are better than those of MOCA,and Castable elastomers are more effective;

With DMTDA cured,mechanical properties of materials is comparable with MOCA and other curing agent ,but lower price and cost in product ,so it is an ideal alternative to traditional curing agents.

Application

 Mainly used for polyurethane elastomers, RIM (reaction injection molding), SPUA (spray polyurea elastomer) and adhesives;

 Also be used as an epoxy resin curing agent, has been widely used in polyurethane rubber roller, medical, stamping, etc;

In addition, in the automotive, construction, mining, metal mining, textiles, paper, printing industry DMTDA has a wide range of applications.
